Norman Rockwell Painting

   It is winter time, the year is 1954 and everyone in the Smith household is fast asleep. The weather the past few days has been quite cold, but snow has yet to reach the town in which the Smith family lives. All of a sudden little Johnny and Susie are each awoken by their loving mother. She eagerly tells the children "come with me I have something to show you". The children and their beloved dog Shiloh excitedly follow her to the window and look outside. What they see outside is a winter wonderland. Their neighborhood is completely covered in snow and they see the birds outside in the iced covered trees chirping. The Smith family is filled with joy to know they will have a white christmas and the children cannot wait to go outside and play in the first snowfall of the year.
