3. But is later arrested so cannot do so

2. Fell in love with Rick in Paris when she thought Vicotr was dead
III. Rising Action
a. Ilsa and Victor walk into the cafe
1. Rick and Ilsa meet again which brings upon bad feelings
2. Rick learns she has a husband
b. Victor suspects rick has the letters of transit
1. Talks to Rick who refuses to give them to Victor
2. Downstairs in the cafe Nazi officers begin singing their anthem
3. Victor proceeds to get the club to start singing the French National Anthem
c. Ilsa attempts to get the letters from Rick
1. She points a gun at him but he refuses still
2. They then both admit their love for one another
3. Then decide to stay together
IV. Climax
a. Lazlo is arrested on a minor crime
1. In the jail Rick tells the french officer to let Lazlo go in order to charge him on a bigger crime
2. Rick then gives Lazlo the letters of transit to get him in trouble so Rick can have Ilsa
b. Lazlo gets caught with the letters of transit
1. Insteead of letting this happen Rick threatens to shoot the officer
2. Rick helps Victor and Ilsa escape to get on a plane
c. Rick then lets Victor leave with Ilsa
1. He knows the two of them should be together
d. Just as the plane is getting ready to leave, the head Nazi officer comes
1. Rick then shoots him in order to let the plane leave safely
V. Conclusion
a. Rick and the french officer leave and start a life on the run
